:: Buddasubba with the Aim :: | "To manage SAARC Level Tournament" with a slogan, Dharan football club is to commencing 8th Budhasubba Gold Cup Invitational International Football tournament from Tuesday, 28th Feb 2006 till Saturday, 11th March 2006 at Dharan Stadium with host Dharan taking District Football association, Morang. DFC has been organizing this event every year with the different national and international team. Due to the internal problem and the country's different circumstances it has postponed from 20th February to 28th February. It has altogether twelve clubs with Seven National team, three international and two home team. It has included two new team ANFA 17 national team and African United international for the first time on 8th BSIGC Football tournament. To make the event a successful Dharan Municipality has been promotion and been working as a conveners since the establishment of the Gold Cup. Several organization like Gorkha Brewery, Himalayan Snacks and Noodles Pvt. Ltd, Bootlers Nepal Pvt. Ltd, Official Media like Image FM 97.9, Blast Times Daily, Nepali Aaawaj, Yingyang Motorcycle and local bodies from different aspects. The People of Dharan have been continuously cooping either financially or other extra support. It has created a different committee like financial committee, Advertisement committee, Playground maintanenance committee, Guest welcome committee and security committee to make the event a successful and with full security on the playground (games) as well as to the spectators.Twenty-six parapets have been added at the venue of the tournament, Dharan Stadium, to accommodate spectators. The organizers have leveled the ground and put up barbed wire fence. Apart from the runner-up cash prize of Rs 35,000, the organizers are also awarding the best player with a motorcycle. | | | | :: Benefits of organizing Budda Subba Gold Cup :: | DFC has different mottos of generation local players to the national to the international level. In the year 2055 B.S. Subash Rai, Kishore Rai, National players Indu Rasiley, Govinda Rai, Purna Limbu, Padam Limbu, Dhan Prasad Rai, player Milan Shrestha and Kiran Sharma formed a Dharan football club. At that period it was difficult to create even eleven members committee on the DFC.With the great efforts of the members of Dharan Football club has planned to organize the Buda Subba Gold Cup. There are some sports Dharan is known for and one of them is Bodybuilding. In the development of body building in Nepal Dharan has played historic role. Perhaps, we may not be wrong to declare Dharan as The Olympia of Bodybuilding. This context prove that Dharan most have been very much advanced in Body Building in Nepal. The first formal Body Building Championship took place in 2027 B.S. in Dharan and the historic winner who deserved the crown was Mr. Ramesh Khanal. Now, since the first Mr. Dharan in 2027 B.S. till the 13th latest edition it has successfully flourished and thrived.
