The advent of "Yuwa Kala Kendra" started way back in 2033 B.S. Senior artists like Mr. Karna Maskey, Mr. Mukesh Malla, Upendra Basnet "Pagal", Bhim Subba, Shishir Yonzon, Rana Bdr. Thegim were the front runners till 2037 B.S. Unfortunately, due to some unavoidable circumstances, "Yuwa Kala Kendra" could not get the desired momentum. After a long hibernation once again the year 2059 saw the zeal and enthusiasm of the members of "Yuwa Kala Kendra". Now, it has 30 added members and all of them have been instrumental in promoting the art culture in Dharan. Various art exhibitions have taken place in recent times. An art exchange programme with "NHOO-JA Group" from Bhaktapur was an added advantage for "Yuwa Kala Kendra" in 2062.

        "Ghumda-Ghumdai Dharan" strolling Dharan-painting while roaming Dharan is the brain-child of three prominent artists Pranod Dutta, Lekh Thapa Magar and Mahendra Rai. Many paintings of "Yuwa Kala Kendra" members have been nominated in National Art Exhibition in Kathmandu.
